Job Summary
The Social Media Manager will lead the end-to-end management of up to three client accounts, primarily within the fashion and retail sector. This role is client-facing and ownership-driven, responsible for strategy execution, content planning, daily account operations, and relationship management. The Social Media Manager will act as the key liaison between clients and internal creative teams, ensuring high-quality delivery, adherence to timelines, and consistent brand storytelling across platforms. The role also includes mentoring a Social Media Executive and contributing to business growth through upselling and expanded service opportunities.
Key Requirements & Skills
- Proven experience as a Social Media Manager, preferably within an agency environment.
- Strong experience handling fashion, retail, or lifestyle brands.
- Excellent client relationship management and presentation skills.
- Strong copywriting, content planning, and storytelling abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines simultaneously.
- Hands-on experience with social media platforms, scheduling tools, and analytics.
- Leadership skills with experience managing junior team members.

Key Responsibilities
1. Account & Client Management

Manage a portfolio of up to three client accounts, ensuring smooth, timely, and efficient execution of all social media activities.

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, leading day-to-day communication, coordination, and relationship management.

Conduct weekly client meetings to present performance reports, finalize upcoming content calendars, and gather new briefs.

Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships through proactive communication, strategic guidance, and responsiveness.
2. Content Planning & Strategy

Develop, write, and schedule engaging captions and content calendars aligned with each clients brand voice, objectives, and target audience.

Continuously enhance content pillars and contribute to evolving content strategies to elevate creative output and engagement.

Drive innovative and creative initiatives to improve content quality, relevance, and impact across platforms.
3. Creative & Internal Coordination

Coordinate closely with internal teams including art directors, content creators, copywriters, and production teams to brief, align, and deliver creative assets.

Ensure all creative outputs meet quality standards, brand guidelines, and agreed timelines.

Manage and execute out-of-scope or ad-hoc projects as required, demonstrating flexibility and ownership.
4. Daily Operations & Execution

Oversee the daily operations of all assigned social media accounts, including publishing, monitoring, and community management.

Provide on-ground support at client events when required, delivering live social media coverage and content creation using mobile devices.
5. Reporting & Performance Analysis

Prepare and present detailed weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports.

Analyze social media metrics and insights to assess performance, optimize content, and provide strategic recommendations to clients.
6. Team Leadership

Manage and mentor one Social Media Executive, providing guidance, feedback, and support to ensure high performance and professional growth.
7. Business Growth & Commercial Responsibility

Identify opportunities to grow account billing through expanded services such as content creation, production, media planning, and influencer collaborations.

Support upselling and cross-selling initiatives in alignment with client needs and agency offerings.
