Business Development Manager (UAE)
Job Description:
Our client is a leading provider of innovative packaging solutions serving B2B customers across multiple industries. With a strong global presence and a long-standing distributor network in the GCC region, our client is now looking to hire a Sales Manager to accelerate market growth and strengthen commercial activities in the UAE and wider GCC.
This will be the company's first direct headcount in the UAE, and the selected candidate will play a pivotal role in expanding market reach, developing new customers, and unlocking fresh commercial opportunities beyond those currently driven by the distributor.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Achieve defined sales and earnings targets in line with company goals.
- Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities across the region.
- Expand the customer base across end-users and distributors.
- Develop and execute strategic business plans to drive growth.
Customer & Distributor Engagement
- Serve as the key point of contact for customers and distributor partners.
- Support distributor sales efforts through training, product education, and market insights.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and stakeholders.
- Conduct client visits, demos, and presentations to promote solutions.
Market & Operational Activities
- Perform market and competitor research to identify trends and opportunities.
- Monitor agreements, contracts, pricing, and commercial negotiations.
- Independently manage scheduling, site visits, reporting, and pipeline forecasting.
- Document activities, opportunities, and customer data within CRM tools.
- Submit weekly activity and progress reports to leadership.
Compliance & Brand Support
- Adhere to corporate values, communication principles, and business strategies.
- Represent the company professionally in all customer engagements.
- Participate in product training programs in the UAE and Germany.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5+ years of B2B sales experience ideally within packaging, industrial solutions, supply chain, or logistics-related industries.
- Strong client acquisition and pipeline management track record.
- Experience working with large corporate or retail groups (e.g., Al Shaya) preferred.
- Familiarity with distributor-led markets is an advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office & CRM tools; SAP experience is beneficial.
- Valid UAE driving license and readiness to travel within GCC.
